The Big Blue Umbrella NonProfit is on a mission to help individuals and families experiencing homelessness secure housing, employment and supportive wrap-around services with the help of compassionate certified homelessness advocates.
We envision a society where every individual has an opportunity to lead a dignified, self-sufficient life that includes a place to call home.
We strive to be a beacon of hope, support and advocacy, addressing the root causes of homelessness through innovative programs and strategic initiatives.
In pursuing our vision, we inspire others to join us in empowering individuals and families with the resources and support they need to transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency–ultimately creating a world where homelessness is a thing of the past.
The Homeless Advocate Certification Board (HACB), established by The Big Blue Umbrella, is the first of its kind, dedicated to standardizing and improving the quality of services provided by homelessness outreach teams. Our certification ensures that advocates are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and ethics to effectively assist those experiencing homelessness.
